Ballard Watch Cap

Filson werd in 1897 opgericht in Seattle en bouwde zijn naam op werkkleding voor gouddelvers en jagers die generaties meegaat. Die filosofie geldt ook voor accessoires: de Ballard Watch Cap is precies wat een muts moet zijn, zonder onnodige details of overbodige elementen.

De Filson Ballard Watch Cap in blaze orange is gebreid van 100% acryl — een bewuste materiaalkeuze. Acryl heeft niet de kribbelende hand die scheerwol bij veel mensen veroorzaakt, droogt snel bij nattige omstandigheden en isoleert effectief zowel droog als vochtig. De geribde breistructuur geeft de muts zijn elastische pasvorm en zorgt dat hij zijn vorm behoudt na veelvuldig gebruik. De omgeslagen rand biedt draagflexibiliteit: boven de oren voor een slouchy silhouet, over de oren voor maximale warmte. Blaze orange is de kleur die jagers en buitensporters al decennia gebruiken voor maximale zichtbaarheid in het veld — een kleur met een functie, maar ook een kleur met karakter. Het vintage Filson-label op de omslag is het enige merkaccent. Gemaakt in de VS, handwas koud, droog plat leggen.

De universele geribde pasvorm past bij de meeste hoofdmaten. Trek hem iets dieper voor een ruimere fit of houd hem hoog op het hoofd voor een slankere look. De stof heeft genoeg rek om comfortabel te zitten zonder af te zakken.

Draag de Filson Ballard Watch Cap in blaze orange als kleuraccent bij een outfit in donkere of neutrale tinten — zwart, olijf of donkerbruin. De oranje kleur is het enige dat het oog vangt; houd de rest terughoudend. In het veld of op de berg: blaze orange heeft hier zijn functie. I would not recommend this shelf. There are no instructions included - just a simple drawing of putting it together but nowhere says what drill bit size to use for the plastic anchors which are square on the end and not round. In addition, you cannot fully tighten the iron brackets or they won’t alight on the wall to hang the shelf. Each piece of metal piping has part of the black coating stripped off as well. And on top of that, the bottom of each shelf is unfinished and looks as though they used a filler to hide holes in the shelf. Not worth the money or the hassle.

Good shelf to upgrade my awkward kitchen!

This shelf is exactly what I was looking for for my awkward kitchen in my new house. Don't mind the plywood walls (who knows what the previous owners were thinking 🤣) but anyways, we had this awkward gap between the kitchen counters and the stove, so I got a stainless steel shelf to fill the gap and add some more counterspace, and I found this industrial style pipe shelving, which was the perfect size and height to fit in this gap on the wall and give us more storage/organization space. It's easy to assemble and hang up, and seems very strong and sturdy. It's a little heavy, but lightweight enough to hang easily. Right out of the box, it was disappointing to see some scuffs in the black paint on the piping, especially for the price. Luckily, the biggest scuff is in a pretty inconspicuous space so it's not a big deal. Definitely not worth returning to see if another one wouldn't have any scuffs (especially since many of the other reviews mentioned scuffs too). It's wabi sabi I suppose 😅 Also, not a single extra screw or hardware was included. Not a big deal, but screws are cheap enough to through in one extra just in case one is missing or lost. Overall, mostly happy with the purchase. The wood is solid and the shelf looks nice in my kicthen!
