DeckLink IP HD is engineered for modern SMPTE 2110 broadcast infrastructures, delivering direct IP‑based capture and playback through a single high‑speed 10G Ethernet connection. Designed for professional environments transitioning from SDI to fully IP‑routed workflows, the card provides two channels of simultaneous video capture and two channels of independent playback, ensuring flexible integration into multichannel production servers, automation systems and network‑based broadcast toolchains. It supports all major HD standards up to 1080p60, including 525i, 625i, 720p, 1080i and 1080p formats, allowing it to slot seamlessly into mixed‑format facilities while maintaining consistent quality and timing across all sources.

The card conforms to SMPTE 2110‑20 for uncompressed video transport, SMPTE 2110‑21 for traffic shaping, SMPTE 2110‑30 for PCM audio and SMPTE 2110‑40 for ancillary data, ensuring full compatibility with professional IP broadcast systems. Multicast support allows efficient distribution of video and audio streams across multiple devices without increasing network load, while PTP‑based time synchronization keeps all signals perfectly aligned. An internal frame‑buffer firewall isolates the Ethernet port from system‑level network access, ensuring that only valid video and audio packets enter the workstation and providing enhanced protection against unintended network traffic.

DeckLink IP HD supports capture and playback of industry‑standard codecs, including Apple ProRes, DNxHD, DNxHR, DPX, AVC‑Intra, AVCHD, XDCAM, DVCPROHD, HEVC and uncompressed 8‑bit, 10‑bit 4:2:2 and 10‑bit 4:4:4 formats. This wide compatibility makes it suitable for live production ingest, processing nodes, IP‑based editing workstations and GPU‑accelerated graphics systems. Up to sixteen channels of embedded audio are supported per stream at 48 kHz and 24‑bit, enabling full integration of multichannel sound within IP‑native pipelines.

The card connects over PCI Express Gen 2 using four lanes, allowing installation in a wide range of Mac, Windows and Linux workstations. Included software such as Media Express, Disk Speed Test, LiveKey and Desktop Video Utility provides immediate workflows for capture, playback, monitoring and testing.
