Toegang tot informatie is nog nooit zo gemakkelijk geweest – maar het verwerven van wijsheid wordt steeds moeilijker.

In een poging om ons te helpen een meer gebalanceerd, gezond dieet van informatie te consumeren, heeft Brett McCracken de ‘Piramide van Wijsheid’ gecreëerd. Geïnspireerd door het voedselpiramide model vanuit Amerika (de Schijf van Vijf), daagt De Piramide van Wijsheid ons uit om onze inname van duurzame, betrouwbare bronnen (zoals de Bijbel) te verhogen en tegelijkertijd onze consumptie van minder betrouwbare bronnen (zoals het internet en sociale media) te matigen.

In plaats van tevreden te zijn met stilte in de 'tussenmomentjes' van ons leven, kunnen onze rusteloze vingers niets anders doen dan naar onze telefoon grijpen.

In een tijd waarin zoveel van ons dagelijkse mediadieet giftig is en ons geestelijk ziek maakt, laat McCracken zien dat we gezond en wijs worden wanneer we ons leven opnieuw richten op God – het fundament van waarheid en de eeuwige bron van wijsheid.

BRETT McCRACKEN is een redacteur voor The Gospel Coalition en de auteur van meerdere titels. Hij woont met zijn gezin in Zuid-Californië, waar hij dient als ouderling in Southlands Church.

Well made… for children?

This review is for the 30” tall one. I’m honestly struggling to find a great use case for how short this is. I don’t have children or am associated with any institution where they may be some. I could see it being used for creating that type of sound barrier. The panel itself is very well made. Looks and feels like an air wall that you’d see in a convention center. I can absolutely tell there’s an acoustic absorption property to it. The whole thing unrolls quickly and is fast to deploy. As far as privacy goes, it’s kind of useless unless you are trying to wall in small children. I can’t really say the value is all here for this. Seems quite a bit more expensive than it’s worth.
