Kracht achter deze parel van Cecilia Beretta is de familie Pasqua, beroemd onder wijnkenners. Deze familie is al decennialang succesvol actief in Veneto, en hebben in 1980 wijnhuis Cecilia Beretta opgericht. De grond in Veneto was al in de jaren veertig in bezit van de familie. Maar pas ten tijde van de bloeiperiode van de wijnen uit veneto, besloten zij zich te gaan richten op Cecilia Beretta. Het wijnhuis is gesitueerd rondom een 17e eeuws landhuis; zo’n typisch Italiaans huis waar de familie de zomer doorbrengt. Voor deze unieke rose wijn worden speciale wijngaarden gebruikt. Dit heeft vooral te maken met het unieke druifgebruik voor deze rosé. In tegenstelling tot veel andere Italiaanse rosé wijnen, wordt hier een trio gebruikt wat je eigenlijk nergens anders tegenkomt. Allereerst de Corvina, welke op zich niet vreemd is. De Corvina is namelijk een regionale trots in Veneto. Het zijn echter de Sauvignon Blanc en de Carmenere. Met name de Carmenere is hierin een vreemde eend in de bijt. Fabulous Product!

This wine opener is fabulous! Foil cutter is sharp and works well. Easily removes the cork, then releases the cork from the corkscrew with a touch of a button. Also seals the wine which I have stored on its side in my wine refrigerator without any leaks. Charges quickly and I have opened many bottles of wine without needing to recharge it. Have had this item for a few months and if it continues to work this well, I will be amazed and very satisfied. Very reasonably priced as compared with similar products that I considered. Most of the other products cost more and did not do all of the functions that the Circle Joy does.

Vendor support is excellent

UPDATE 2: The vendor proactively reached out to me and sent me a replacement. The replacement works well so I’ve given them 5 Stars.
UPDATE: It really doesn’t ever go in straight so every cork is at risk for breaking off. I lowered rating to two. It ultimately works about 85% of the time.
Meh. Works most of the time, but has issues. It wrecks corks much more often than the Brookstone one we had before. It seems to twist in sideways so that it runs along the glass of the bottle neck instead of straight down. This causes it to destroy the corks fairly frequently… and on occasion it destroys it so much that you can’t get the cork out at all.
Pros:
Quiet
Has the bottle sealers and suction.
Recharges on base.
Cons:
Damages corks
Sometimes destroys corks to point of not being able to extract them.
Goes in crooked.
