Dankzij een zorgvuldig uitgekiend plan weet ze toch een bepaalde status te bereiken, maar ooit nog een man vertrouwen? Dat nooit! De bewoners van de stad Jericho voelen zich bedreigd. Het volk Israël rukt steeds verder op en dankzij hun God behaalt het volk de ene overwinning na de andere. Rachab raakt gefascineerd door deze rechtvaardige, liefdevolle God en langzaam groeit in haar de wens om bij Hem te mogen horen. Als verspieders van het volk Israël bij de poorten van Jericho ontmaskerd dreigen te worden, grijpt Rachab in en verbergt de mannen in haar herberg. In ruil daarvoor sparen de Israëlieten het leven van de Kanaänitische en dat van haar familie als de stad wordt ingenomen. Rachab sluit zich aan bij het volk Israël, maar zal een man ooit de muren rondom haar hart weten af te breken?
