Y-3 ontstond in 2002 als samenwerking tussen de Japanse ontwerper Yohji Yamamoto en adidas. De naam verwijst zowel naar Yamamoto als naar de drie strepen van adidas, en die dubbele oorsprong is precies wat het merk drijft: sportswear-logica vermengd met de soberheid van Japanse avant-gardemode.

Dit zwarte Y-3 herenshirt is vervaardigd uit 100% katoenen jersey met een ribgebreide crewneck die zijn vorm goed behoudt. Het Y-3-logo is op de borst gebonded in plaats van geborduurd of gedrukt, een afwerkingstechniek waarbij het logo met hitte en druk op de stof wordt gefixeerd zodat het volledig vlak blijft liggen zonder randjes of textuurverschil. Aan de achterkraag zit een tweede, kleinere grafische bonding, een detail dat verloren gaat tenzij je het shirt van dichtbij bekijkt. De afwerking aan de zoom is verstevigd met een mengsel van 98% katoen en 2% elastaan, wat de randen iets meer terugvering geeft dan de rest van het shirt. Gemaakt in Thailand. Waar veel logo-shirts het merkteken simpelweg bedrukken, kiest Y-3 hier voor een bondingtechniek die het shirt een net iets premium karakter geeft zonder dat het opzichtig wordt.

Dit Y-3 t-shirt heeft een slim fit die dicht bij het lichaam valt zonder strak te knellen. De pasvorm valt op maat en werkt het beste los gedragen of onder een open overshirt.

I watch a gentleman online who always talks about how in his 40 years he didn’t know x, y, z, and ends with “ain’t no way.” He made this 3-ingredient — 4 with ice— iced coffee, and used a handheld frother, so after shopping for ingredients, I went in search of a frother. What I liked about this one is that it’s not battery operated, but instead is rechargeable. It comes with three attachment, one of which I can use for cake batter, whipping up eggs, making homemade whipped cream, and also sauces and gravy. It also has a case so I am storing it with my coffee paraphernalia. It has three settings and I used the high setting. As you can see it really froths up the ingredients. I’m very pleased with my purchase and thought about all the times I need a slurry of water and cornstarch to thicken soups and stews. I don’t know the charge life yet, but so far, so good. What you see in the cup is 2 tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk, 3 teaspoons of instant espresso, and 2 ounces of water. Then you add the ice and your creamer, half-and-half, or barista lover’s oat milk, and you’re done. Not too bad, as my grandpa used to say.
