De kralen zijn geheel nikkelvrij. Het metaal is voorzien van een sterke plating, door middel van een laagje echt zilver of goud. Hierdoor blijft het erg lang mooi, maar ik adviseer wel om de sieraden af te doen met douchen, zodat deze zo lang mogelijk hun kwaliteit blijven behouden.
