Clos Berenguer
Clos Berenguer is een familiebodega in handen van Francesc Berengué Recasens. Francesc bezit nabij El Molar 3 mooie wijngaarden die veelal aangeplant zijn met wijnstokken van 35 tot 90 jaar oud. De meest aangeplante druif is garnacha, maar er staat ook cariñena (ter plekke 'samsó genoemd), cabernet sauvignon en syrah. De wijngaarden van Clos Berenguer zijn voornamelijk van oost naar west georiënteerd en geplant op twee bodemsoorten, voornamelijk een Licorella-bodem (Finca Reboix en Finca Solanes) en een kalkhoudende bodem (Finca Les Sorts). Deze kenmerken en de diversiteit van hun microklimaten maken combinaties mogelijk die de wijnen hun complexiteit geven. Uiteraard worden de wijngaarden duurzaam, geïntegreerd bewerkt.
In het hart van de drie wijngaarden staat de bodega (de Clos) met de kelders voor de verwerking van de druiven.

Clos Berenguer 'Clos de Tafall' Priorat 2021
Clos de Tafall is de referentiewijn van wijnmaker Liuba Boiciu, de wijn die de stijl van het huis aangeeft.
De druiven van wijngaarden van zo'n 35 jaar oud worden laat, in volledige rijpheid, geplukt. Uiteraard gebeurt alles handmatig.
Na een strenge selectie worden de druiven ontsteeld en vindt de vergisting en maceratie plaats in RVS. De wijn wordt 12 maanden gerijpt in gebruikte Franse eikenhouten vaten van 500 liter. De blend bestaat uit 60% Grenache noir, 20% Carignan (Samsó) 20% Cabernet Sauvignon.

I would definitely reccommend giving these sheets a try, worth the money and a good deal on sale. better quality that other store bought sheets.
