De bladeren zijn smal, lang en golvend, met een exotisch patroon van aderen. De plant heeft geen opvallende bloemen, maar de bladeren maken de plant tot een prachtig pronkstuk.

Standplaats: Deze plant gedijt het beste op een zonnige plaats, maar kan zich ook aanpassen aan lichte schaduw. Zet de plant binnen op een plek met veel indirect licht. Vermijd direct zonlicht om verbranding van de bladeren te voorkomen.

Waterbehoefte: De Codiaeum 'Croton' Mamey heeft regelmatig water nodig, maar zorg ervoor dat de grond goed doorlatend is. Laat de bovenste laag van de grond licht opdrogen tussen de gietbeurten. Overbewatering kan leiden tot wortelrot.
