Clematis montana 'Carnaval' kenmerkt zich door een langere en rijkere bloei en is beter bestand tegen ziektes dan de gewone montana soorten. Ook blijven ze een stuk compacter, zo’n 2 tot 3 meter hoog. De Clematis montana carnaval kan ook in een ruime pot of bloembak staan en tegen een klimrekje aangroeien. Ze bloeien in de periode mei tot en met juli met intens gekleurde redelijk kleine bloemen die verkleuren naarmate ze ouder worden.

Verzorgen
Plant een Clematis langs een rek of schutting en help de nieuwe uitlopers door ze netjes langs het rek te binden of door de schutting te leiden. Je kunt de montana het beste in de zomer snoeien. Ze bloeien namelijk op oud hout, zoals takken van het jaar ervoor. In de zomer snoei je jouw Clematis dus eigenlijk in vorm voor de daaropvolgende lente.

Vergeet ook niet om dode of oude takken volledig te verwijderen. Een goede snoei zorgt voor een rijkere bloei in het voorjaar. Clematis montana 'Carnaval' houdt van een standplaats in de halfschaduw of volle zon en verlangt een neutrale tot kalkrijke, goed doorlaatbare grondsoort. Let er wel op dat de voet (onderkant) van je klimplant niet de gehele dag in de volle zon staat. Je kunt hem ook bedekken of iets dieper planten. De clematis is winterhard.

My Rottie loves these balls. The ball lasts a long time even though he plays hard and chews them. My biggest complaint is the squeaker disconnects easily from inside the ball, the glue does not hold! We have bought many of these balls because eventually the area where the squeaker is attached comes away from the ball leaving an open whole that causes the ball to eventually developed a long crack at which point it no longer is able to be thrown nor is is fun for him any longer.
