Het District 7 Wines project werd met veel passie geboren binnen het wijngoed Scheid Family Wines. Dankzij de koele zeelucht vanuit Monterey Bay, die elke dag door de wijngaarden blaast, kent het een lang groeiseizoen. Dit is perfect voor de druivensoorten die goed kunnen rijpen bij dit soort omstandigheden. De Cabernet Sauvignon heeft wel wat meer zon nodig en staat daarom aangeplant op de zuidelijke hellingen van de vallei. De druiven rijpen heel langzaam en dat resulteert in complexe en goed gestructureerde wijnen. Bij deze District 7 Cabernet Sauvignon wordt fruit van twee landgoedwijngaarden gecombineerd. Hames Valley Vineyard ligt vlak bij de grens van San Luis Obispo County. Beschut tegen de middagwinden, bezit het de grootste dagelijkse temperatuurschommelingen in de provincie. De combinatie van warme dagen, frisse nachten en een lang groeiseizoen maakt dit een ideale locatie voor grote, tanninerijke rode tinten. De druiven werden in de vroege ochtend geoogst op basis van rijpheid en zuurgraad. In de wijnmakerij wordt het fruit in kleine partijen gesorteerd, geplet en gefermenteerd. Een zachte behandeling en minimale tussenkomst behielden de integriteit van de variëteit en het karakter van de individuele sites. De wijn rijpt uiteindelijk 10 maanden in Franse, Amerikaanse en Hongaarse eikenhouten vaten. De Cabernet Sauvignon is heerlijk donker met aroma's en smaken van bramen, vlierbessen en zwarte kersen, met hints van verse dragon, vanille en geroosterd eiken. Het is rijp, rond en sappig met zachte, geïntegreerde tannines en een aanhoudende afdronk van helder zwart fruit. Dit is ideaal bij rundvlees- en wildgerechten, maar ook bij vegetarische gerechten zoals paddenstoelenrisotto.Shipping Notes

I'd recommend it, especially at this give-away-price
As a sociologist, I was always interested as to how the USSR could morph what Marx considered communalism networked by a shallow, weak, centralized and supposedly representative government into what I would considered an extremest left-wing oligarchy (most fashionably consider it right-wing despite how it was sold and supported by the people that allowed it- so much for cultural relativity and in context social analysis!). If Stalin actually wrote these pieces (or more commonly among dictators farmed it out to a frightened academic ghostwriter) then it could help explain why Marx disassociated himself with much of the Marxist movement toward the end of his life. It is a logically written and well informed book - worth the read if you are into the sociology of politics, philosophy of politics or the history of politics. I'd recommend it, especially at this give-away-price!

Good book, mediocre edition
Format: Paperback
This review pertains to the quality of this edition's editing and construction, rather than the content of the book itself. Rest assured that the text itself remains a valuable piece of introductory theory.
The book is fairly well constructed, with paper and a binding that is sturdy enough for general use. However, my copy had several manufacturing errors including folded over pages being stuck into the binding. In addition, there are several misspelled words throughout the text and some obvious typos (missing letters, incorrect capitalization and punctuation) that did not majorly impact the readability of the text, but were, nevertheless, annoying.
Considering the low price of this edition the manufacturing errors are hardly a big deal, but I would have preferred the text itself to have been treated with more care and respect while being prepared for printing.

thoughts on Xi Jinping
Format: Kindle
This book was highly organized and very easy to comprehend. I have formed a much better understanding of Xi Jinping and where he is taking China. Although I feel he has been thoughtful and successful in some areas such as improving China economically, I don’t feel his autocratic approach will succeed in the long run when more Chinese people will demand to be heard. Just as Mao thought didn’t outlast Mao, Xi thought will not outlast Xi.
