Hij is de directe opvolger van de Big Ben en het voorgangermodel van de Big Apple.

De milieuvriendelijkheid van de band:
-    Addix Green: Schwalbes meest milieuvriendelijke rubbermengsel met behoud van prestaties, bevat 80% hernieuwbare grondstoffen en gerecyclede materialen:
-    Onder andere maakt hij 100% gebruik van gerecycleerde roet (recovered Carbon Black, rCB) uit Schwalbes Tire-recycling.
-    Wordt voor 100% gemaakt van fairtrade natuurlijk rubber.

Comfort en demping
De Schwalbe Motion Big Apple absorbeert met lage luchtdruk elke oneffenheid en rolt soepel over asfalt, maar ook over bospaadjes. Hij staat voor absoluut comfort en dempt dankzij zijn grote volume elke schok – helemaal zonder ingewikkelde veringstechniek. Het veelzijdige profielontwerp bevat moderne designelementen die ook terug te vinden zijn in de zijwandstructuur van de Motion Big Apple. 

Toepassingsgebied
De Motion Big Apple is geschikt voor e-bikes in het touring- en stedelijke segment, maar ook voor trekking- en stadsfietsen zonder motor. Voor de dagelijkse routes naar het werk, maar ook voor klassieke fietstochten. Ook voor kinder- en jeugd fietsen en lichte niet-gemotoriseerde cargofietsen is de Big Apple een goede keuze.

Nieuwe productfamilie Motion
De Motion Big Apple is tevens de eerste touring-band die wordt ingedeeld in Schwalbes nieuwe assortimentstructuur. This watch was received exactly as advertised. First off the watch is economical compared to other watches that advertise the same details. I will say that I have gone through numerous Luminox watches only to be disappointed. This watch fits the bill. It does have solar cells which mean it needs to be exposed to light to keep running, not a problem. Three minutes under my surefire light I am golden. The bezel doesn't rotate actually no big deal for me. I have always required that the bezel moves not anymore after having a bezel that rotates I use it next to never. Here's why, the more I rotate the bezel the more the numbers wear off. The strap on the watch with the catches for the strap are perfect. They actually hold the watch strap in place in lieu of like other big name brands that just flop and slide. As far as everyday use goes this watch is my go to. To be honest I have purchased three. This is the only watch I will wear moving forward, yeah the glass my scratch but even the big names like the Luminox I spoke of earlier scratches too.
