De Chuck 70 is de verhoogde versie van het silhouet dat Converse in 1917 voor het eerst produceerde. Waar de originele Chuck Taylor All Star sport diende, is de 70-lijn het antwoord op wat er na decennia van culturele toe-eigening van dat silhouet is overgebleven: een schoen die je draagt om de schoen, niet om wat hij ooit betekende. De suède upper in Desert Sand is de materiaalupgrade die de Chuck 70 High van een canvas basissneaker onderscheidt. Hetzelfde silhouet, maar met een nap die warmer oogt en een textuur toevoegt die canvas niet heeft.

De constructie houdt vast aan de Chuck 70-specificaties: een gevulkaniseerde rubberen zool met diamantprofiel, een rubberized neusbeschermer, metalen oogjes, winged tongue stitching en de All Star enkelpatch in zwart. De midsole is egret wit met zwarte pinstripe detailing. Een OrthoLite binnenzool zorgt voor draagcomfort dat het originele Chuck-ontwerp niet bood. De colorway Desert Sand combineert de warme beige tint van de suède upper met egret witte accenten en zwarte details op neus en logo.

Unisex pasvorm, valt op maat — wie normaal een halve maat tussenzit kan beter de maat groter kiezen, want Chuck 70 loopt iets smaller dan moderne loopschoenleesten.

Draag de Chuck 70 High Premium Suede in Desert Sand met een indigoblauwe jeans of een kaki broek voor een toon-op-toon aardse combinatie, of gebruik hem als rustpunt in een verder donkere outfit.
