Hoe wordt het product gemaakt?

Appleton Estate 15Y Rare Blend rijpt minimaal 15 jaar in eikenhouten vaten op het landgoed in de Nassau Valley, Jamaica. De blend bestaat uit pot still- en column still-rum, geproduceerd met lokaal geteeld suikerriet. Het rijpingsproces vindt volledig op het landgoed plaats, wat invloed heeft op het eindprofiel door het tropische klimaat en de hogere verdampingssnelheid.

Het verhaal van Appleton Estate

Appleton Estate is een van de oudste rumproducenten van Jamaica en opereert vanuit de Nassau Valley op het eiland. De distilleerderij produceert al generaties lang rum op dezelfde locatie. Joy Spence, de eerste vrouwelijke Master Blender in de rumsector, leidt het blendproces en is verantwoordelijk voor de stijl van de huidige portfolio, waaronder de Rare Blend-serie.
