Dit album is het zesde studioalbum dat het duo sinds 2019 uitbrengt en werd begin 2025 opgenomen tijdens een ongeplande studiosessie. In een periode vol emotionele spanning kozen Dan Auerbach en Patrick Carney ervoor om terug te keren naar de essentie: hard spelen, samen in één ruimte, zonder opsmuk.

Het resultaat is een rauw en direct rockalbum dat sterk leunt op de blueswortels van de band. Inspiratie werd gehaald uit artiesten als Junior Kimbrough, R.L. Burnside, Dr. Feelgood en George Thorogood, wat duidelijk hoorbaar is in het energieke en ongepolijste geluid. De nummers zijn grotendeels live opgenomen, vaak in slechts één of twee takes, met zo min mogelijk studio-ingrepen.

Bijzonder aan Peaches! is dat The Black Keys voor het eerst sinds Magic Potion (2006) opnieuw zelf verantwoordelijk zijn voor de volledige mix. This pillow — after dialing in the right amount of shredded foam — has greatly helped my sore neck. Initially, I had to remove some foam. Then I gradually added foam until it reached optimum comfort and support. It is also CPAP-friendly — especially when I position my head near the pillow's edge. (I am a left-side sleeper.) I like the travel size because I use a bulky hugging pillow to ease stress on my shoulder and elbow. That makes my side of the bed feel cramped if using a larger head pillow. A smaller pillow is easy to flip end-to-end in the middle of the night. I have spent lots of money on pillows over the years, but this is the best I've ever had for relieving [1] neck pain and [2] CPAP mask seal problems. Very comfortable, supportive, and affordable. I did not notice any unpleasant smell — and I am usually sensitive to that kind of thing. Would highly recommend.

I really like this pillow overall. It’s comfortable, supportive, and feels well made. When you use it without a pillowcase, it definitely feels cool to the touch and does what it claims in terms of that initial cooling sensation. It’s comfortable and supportive enough that I’m keeping it. Just keep in mind that the cooling feature works best without a cover, which isn’t ideal for everyone.
