Tasca Tenuta Regaleali Le Rosé laat zien hoe verfijnd Siciliaanse rosé kan zijn wanneer frisheid, precisie en herkomst centraal staan. Op Tenuta Regaleali werkt Tasca d’Almerita al sinds de jaren 70 met Nerello Mascalese voor rosé, wat deze wijn een vaste plek geeft binnen het domein. De naam Le Rosé verwijst niet alleen naar het florale karakter van de wijn, maar ook naar de rozen die al jarenlang op het landgoed worden gekweekt.

Wijngaarden en regio

Le Rosé komt van Tenuta Regaleali, het historische domein van Tasca d’Almerita op Sicilië.

  • Herkomst: De wijn komt van Tenuta Regaleali, een domein dat bekendstaat om zijn focus op terroir, precisie en duurzame wijnbouw.
  • Classificatie: De wijn valt onder Terre Siciliane IGT, een herkomstbenaming die ruimte geeft aan een pure en eigentijdse invulling van Siciliaanse rosé.
  • Opbrengst: Met 66 quintali per hectare blijft de opbrengst gecontroleerd, wat helpt om spanning en fruitconcentratie in de wijn te behouden.

Die beheerste opbrengst geeft deze rosé meer diepte en lengte dan een puur lichtvoetige zomerstijl.

Vinificatie en rijping

De vinificatie is volledig gericht op frisheid, finesse en een zuiver profiel.

  • Vergisting: De alcoholische vergisting vindt plaats in roestvrijstalen tanks bij 14 °C en duurt gemiddeld 15 dagen, zodat het fruit helder en precies blijft.
  • Malolactische omzetting: Een gedeeltelijke malolactische omzetting geeft de wijn net wat meer zachtheid in de mond zonder zijn frisse karakter te verliezen.
  • Rijping: Na de vergisting rijpt de wijn nog 3 maanden in roestvrij staal, waardoor de stijl strak, puur en fruitgedreven blijft.

Hier is bewust niet gekozen voor hout, zodat de spanning en elegantie van de rosé volledig overeind blijven.

Druivensamenstelling

Nerello Mascalese – Tenuta Regaleali
Nerello Mascalese is een Siciliaanse druif die in rosévorm niet alleen rood fruit laat zien, maar ook frisheid, finesse en een lichte hartige spanning. Wat voor druif is Nerello Mascalese precies? Het is een druif die vooral bekend is van Sicilië en in lichtere stijlen vaak een mooie combinatie geeft van elegant fruit, frisse zuren en een subtiel kruidig karakter.

Proefnotities en serveertips

In het glas toont Le Rosé 2024 een lichte rosékleur met een heldere, verfijnde uitstraling. De neus opent met citrus en rood fruit, waarbij direct veel frisheid en energie voelbaar zijn. In de mond is de eerste indruk soepel en bijna zijdezacht, een stijlkenmerk van deze jaargang. De structuur blijft licht en elegant, maar krijgt voldoende lengte door frisse zuren en een mooie spanning. De afdronk is levendig, strak en verfijnd aanhoudend.

  • Serveertemperatuur: Schenk deze rosé bij voorkeur tussen 8–10 °C zodat de frisse citrusaroma’s, het rode fruit en de elegante spanning mooi in balans blijven.
  • Gerechten: Deze wijn past uitstekend bij lichte mediterrane gerechten, verfijnde visbereidingen en zomerse lunchgerechten waarin frisheid en subtiliteit belangrijk zijn.

They really do work!

I rarely give reviews that aren’t motivated by disappointment, but this is one of them. Medicube makes several products that I use alongside $170 serums and creams, and the Zero Pore Pad is one of them. I love the dual texture, and even after using a pre-cleanser and a “microfolient” face wash (both expensive washes from by Dermologica), the Zero Pore Pad is my ONLY choice for a toner. Compared to the products that go on after using the pads, the pads are incredibly affordable for the results I’ve seen. On the rougher side of the pad, this toner still somehow finds pockets of sebum that are visible on the pad after using as directed. It’s like magic. I’m on my third container of Zero Pore Pads and I can say, without a doubt, they have had noticeable results on my skin, mostly on my nose and the cheek area around my nose. The size of my pores are now smaller, almost invisible. This is despite the fact that I layer a bunch of serums, creams and a moisturizer at night that I lock in with the peel-off Medicube collagen mask. Despite the weight of it all on my pores, the pads still have worked, and they aren’t harsh like some toners-but if you have very sensitive skin or are on acne medication, go with their milder sister product). I wash my face three times a day due to the ick of polluted air and layers of moisturizer and sunscreen, so I’ve been using these three times a day, but occasionally I use the Koji and Tumeric Pads, which have had no noticeable effect aside from serving as a basic toner. The application is lovely on all Medicube’s pads with their dual texture, but like the collagen mask these Zero Pore Pads really do work (for me). Because skin varies with age and melanin content, I am a pale white woman (female at birth) of Scandinavian descent so I don’t know if these would have had the same impact on me at age 17, but now they work, really well. I literally have the glass skin K-beauty prizes—I just used the pads and thought I had something on my face because my skin was shining. I love these, try them!

Good toner pad option

I like these to use no more than 1-2x a week for my skin. I use them before bed and wake up noticing smoother and more event toned skin. If you use them too often, they can cause redness and irritation, but I have never gotten a rash or a breakout because of them. I will say, they do not exfoliate all your texture away and refine your pores to perfection like the marketing says, but nothing does. The AHA and BHA are the chemical exfoliants and work just like they do in any other product. The pads are very moist and stay saturated in the container as long as you keep the lid shut. Overall, a good toner pad option to be used occasionally in your routine and do not mix with any other actives.

The Biggest Visible Change I’ve Seen in My Skin in Years

If I could only keep one skincare product, it would honestly be these pads. Even after trying peels, tools, clay masks, exfoliants, and retinol, this is the most noticeable improvement I’ve seen in my skin. I’m in my 50s and have tried a lot of skincare over the years — pore strips, clay masks, exfoliants, retinol, you name it. Very few products have made a noticeable difference in my skin, but these absolutely have. My biggest concern has always been the pores on my nose. After about a month, my skin looks more refined overall and my nose pores appear much smaller than they used to. I also have sensitive, combination skin, so I’m careful with exfoliating products. These have been very gentle for me. The pads are thin but well saturated (not dripping), and I like using the textured side first to exfoliate, then flipping to the smooth side to finish. There’s no strong fragrance and they haven’t irritated my skin. Another unexpected benefit is how much better my makeup applies now. Foundation sits more smoothly and doesn’t settle into my pores the way it used to. After years of trying different skincare products, this may honestly be the one that has made the most noticeable change in my skin. If enlarged pores on your nose bother you like they did me, this product is absolutely worth trying. This is one of the few products that has genuinely shocked me with how well it works!
