RÉSUMÉ: Ancien capitaine des forces spéciales placardisé pour ses prises de risques en tant que négociateur, l'inspecteur Ho Sheung-sang est appelé sur le toit d'un immeuble à la suite d'un hold-up s'achevant en prise d'otage. En guise de revendication, le malfaiteur, cancéreux en phase terminale, invite Ho à un jeu durant 72 heures.
