As part of their refreshed Standard Series, Martin Guitar welcomes a radiant new addition to the lineup – the Martin OM-45. A dazzling, all-gloss acoustic to play boldly, this guitar from one of America's finest workshops is a dream unto itself.

There's a bit to unpack with this absolute knockout of a guitar, so unpack we shall. The OM-45's body takes Martin's classic 000-14 Fret form for a great balance of physical size and sonic scale. This body comes together first with a solid spruce top and solid East Indian rosewood back and sides. Together, these two woods create a classic tonal profile with a rich voice and extraordinary sustain. To better complement this construction, Martin integrated Golden Era (GE) scalloped Sitka spruce bracing that breathes a more vintage voice into the acoustic. Featured on Martin's Modern Deluxe series, this bracing pattern is a player-forward feature to inspire long playing sessions with a rich and consistent voice.

The OM-45 goes beyond a quality body build for its total experience, however. A genuine mahogany neck extends from the 000-14 body in a GE Modified Low Oval profile that connects with an effortless grip. From here, the OM-45 features a thinner, beveled ebony fingerboard that works to even further streamline playability across the scale. Twenty frets with Style 45 Hexagon pearl inlays sparkle across the dark ebony for a board that is as infatuating to see as it is to play.

The visual features and hardware of this guitar that tie it all together really push it past your average acoustic. For one, the full body and neck of the OM-45 are decked in a gloss finish with an Aging Toner top color that give it that authentic, somewhat lived-in aesthetic right off the bat. A compensated bone saddle lands at the base of the scale and is matched at the opposite end with gold open gear tuning machines that ensure stability in playing and ease in string changes. The OM-45 is a complete knockout down to the last detail and travels with an included Martin hardshell case to protect from wear and damage.

As part of Martin's new, refreshed Standard Series of acoustics, the OM-45 is a mission statement of Martin's commitment to stellar musicality.

Wears Big
Color: Black/Black/Blue
Watch wears a lot large than it stated size. Feels more around the 45mm dimension on the wrist.

Looks and feels great...if it only kept running...
Color: Black/Black/Blue
Looks great, feels great...Stopped running about 1 month after purchase. Timex wanted me to send it back (my cost) so they could fix it. I passed. Bought extra coverage, said it was still under manufacture warrantee. Learned my lesson...no more Timex watches.

Other reviewer said it feels like plastic. It is plastic, or bio-ceramic, which is basically plastic. Light on the wrist. Very comfortable. Does it feel cheap? That's up to you, but it looks really good. I'm happy.
