The Gold Ram is a beautiful color variation of Mikrogeophagus ramirezi with longer, Gold fins. It is a social fish that will form pairs and often remain "faithful" to each other. As its name suggests, the Gold Angel Veil Ram has an angelic appearance with a shimmering gold body and hints of iridescent pink, orange, and red coloration that beautifully complements flowing, wing-like fins.
The Gold Ram requires an aquarium of at least 50L in size. The setup should have several dense plant groups and plenty of open swimming space. The Gold Angel Veil Ram will also need a few caves in which to hide and stones to spawn on. Being a peaceful fish, the Gold Angel Veil Ram makes a wonderful addition to the community aquarium. However, if kept in an aquarium that lacks hiding places for this fish, they may become aggressive toward small tank mates.
