530037793 Air Filter & Fuel System Tune-Up Kit

Key Features

  • High-Flow Foam Filtration: The 530037793 air filter is made from premium oil-compatible foam designed to capture fine sawdust and debris while maintaining maximum airflow for optimal engine combustion.
  • Transparent Primer Bulbs: Includes high-quality, flexible primer bulbs that resist hardening and cracking, allowing for quick fuel delivery to the carburetor for easier starts.
  • Chemical-Resistant Fuel Lines: Features Tygon-style fuel tubing that remains flexible in extreme temperatures and resists the swelling or "melting" often caused by ethanol-blended gasoline.
  • Complete Intake Restoration: This all-in-one kit addresses the most common "no-start" issues by replacing the air filter, fuel delivery lines, and priming mechanism simultaneously.
  • Tool-Free Filter Installation: The air filter is designed to fit snugly into the factory air box housing, requiring no modifications for a perfect, vacuum-tight seal.

Replaces / Cross-Reference Part Numbers

  • Air Filter: 530037793, 53037793, 39-13119
  • Fuel/Primer Components: 530069216, 530069247, 530071835, 530047213

Compatibility & Fitment

This kit is the primary maintenance set for small-displacement Poulan and Craftsman chainsaws. Key compatible models include:

  • Poulan / Poulan Pro: 1900, 1950, 1975, 2025, 2050, 2055, 2075, 2150, 2155, 2175, 2250, 2350, 2375, 2450, 2550, and Wild Thing models.
  • Craftsman: Fits most 33cc to 42cc "Purple" and "Red" series saws manufactured by MTD/Poulan (e.g., 358-series model numbers).
  • Other Brands: Select Remington and Husqvarna models utilizing the 530-series chassis.

When to Replace

  • Hard Starting: You have to pull the starter cord 10+ times, often indicating the primer bulb is not pulling fuel or the fuel lines have developed pinhole leaks.
  • Engine Stalls Under Load: The saw starts and idles but dies as soon as you begin a cut, typically caused by a restricted/dirty air filter.
  • Cracked Primer Bulb: Visible cracks or a "sunk-in" bulb that doesn't return to its original shape when pressed.
  • "Gooey" or Brittle Fuel Lines: The yellow lines have turned dark, feel sticky, or snap when bent, which can lead to air bubbles in the fuel system.
  • Excessive Fuel Consumption: A dirty air filter causes the engine to run "rich," wasting fuel and potentially fouling the spark plug with carbon.

Installation Tips

  • Clean the Air Box: Before installing the new foam filter, use a damp rag to wipe out any sawdust trapped inside the air box to prevent it from entering the carburetor.
  • Prime the Lines: When replacing fuel lines, ensure the "suction" line (with the filter) goes to the carburetor inlet and the "return" line goes from the primer bulb back to the tank.
  • Fish Wire Technique: Use a piece of thin wire with a hook at the end to pull the new fuel lines through the small holes in the gas tank.
  • Lube the Filter: For best results, apply 2-3 drops of clean 2-cycle engine oil to the foam filter and squeeze it to distribute (do not soak it). This helps the foam trap the finest dust particles.
  • Check the Vent: While the tank is open, check the small fuel tank vent. If the vent is clogged, the saw will run for 5 minutes and then die due to a vacuum lock in the tank.

Fixes flats and old tires like a charm
Style: 1 gal
This stuff is awesome. If you have tractor tires, ATV tires, bike, tires, hell, any tires that hold air. This stuff is awesome. Awesome. Awesome. It does not work for highway vehicles, i.e. Cars and truck trucks. But anything else it’s great. Dollies, air compressors, wheelbarrows, the stuff is awesome dude.

slime is and has always been amazing for bike tires and other small pneumatic tires
Style: 1 gal
this is a great value, I have been using slime in my tubes of my bikes and a small inflatable pneumatic tires for probably 30 years, and I can say slime has only improved, and it works fantastic, this is a very good way to save money, and it works great on goat heads and several other ways your tires can get punctured, I still always recommend carrying a small air compressor or pump, but for the price point you just cannot beat slime, every bike shop should always carry this.

What was left in the bottle worked great. However, the cap was off of the jug when I opened the package. Ididn't have enough for the other tires.

Spark-tacular Revival for My Lawn Chariot
Ordered this OEM 2-pack of Champion spark plugs (Kohler 25 132 23-S / 2513223S) for my Kohler Command K OHV 7000 series (KT725) engine, and let me tell you—these little lightning bolts mean business. Installation? Easier than pretending I’ll read the whole owner’s manual. Pulled the old plugs, threaded these pre-gapped beauties in, torqued appropriately, reconnected, and boom—instant ignition enthusiasm. The engine fired up like it had just downed a double espresso. It’s still too early in the season to mow, but I couldn’t resist a test run. Converted the tractor mower into a full-blown leaf-blasting machine and sent it down my 1/10-mile driveway like a suburban hurricane. Leaves scattered. Neighbors stared. Power was smooth, responsive, and downright smug. Idle is steady. Throttle response is crisp. No sputter, no hesitation—just clean, confident combustion. Exactly what you want from OEM-spec plugs. If your tractor’s been sounding like it’s negotiating with itself before starting, do it a favor. These plugs brought mine back to “runs like a champ”… which, given the name, feels poetically correct. Five stars. Lawn domination pending.
