《オハギ》シリーズは昭和初期の作家・尾崎翠の小説『歩行』にインスパイアされて制作されました。作中では主人公の少女が祖母の依頼により、夜の街をおはぎを持って親戚の家まで歩いて届ける様子が描かれています。《オハギ》は、主人公の町子がおはぎを持ち歩く場面から制作されたおはぎを持ち歩くバッグとして発表されました。
