Four films from acclaimed Japanese director Hirokazu Kore-eda.

In 'Maborosi' (1995) Yumiko (Makiko Esumi) is newly married with a young baby but when tragedy strikes and her husband Ikuo (Tadanobu Asano) is killed in an apparent suicide she is deeply troubled by her loss. Despite remarrying a widower (Takashi Naito) and moving to the coast the death of her husband continues to haunt her as she struggles to find meaning in the world.

In 'After Life' (1998) the dead arrive in limbo and are invited to select one memory that they wish to take with them to the afterlife. Over the following week, the recently-deceased think back over their lives, looking for the moment in their lives that meant the most to them.

In 'Nobody Knows' (2004) 12-year-old Akira (Yuya Yagira) wakes up to find a note from his mother which includes some money and instructions about looking after his three younger siblings while she is away. The children cope well to begin with, helping each other with the housework and Akira ensuring that the bills are paid. However, when their mother fails to return after several weeks the children are forced to deal with an increasingly chaotic situation, as Akira tries to prevent the landlord from finding out the truth.

Finally, in 'Still Walking' (2008) middle-aged art restorer Ryota (Hiroshi Abe) and his sister Chinami (You) return to their childhood home with their own families for a gathering to mark the 15th anniversary of the death of their older brother Junpei, who drowned while saving another boy's life. As the family members reconnect over the course of one summer day they continue struggling to come to terms with their loss and tensions increase between Ryota and his father Kyohei (Yoshio Harada).

Good read
Format: Kindle
The book has some good twists and turns, but truthfully I was so confused on some things. It didn't have a good flow for me personally. Not sure if it's due to typos or using him/her wrongly, but I thought Kelly was both a guy and a girl. Actually I still don't know, and it made me incredibly frustrated. It would refer to Kelley as him or he, and then again in another part of the story as her she and sister. On to the next book, I hope there is some clarity and a smoother flow. This is a slow burn, and I just don't know how much I care for the Alphas yet. Idk if I recommend.

the lies
Format: Kindle
This is amazing fast pace read that is full of plot twists and lies that keep getting bad. This is a story we’re a omega has been lied to by her mother and finds out that someone is slowing dieing. 3 alpha take the omega and feed her more lies so they can use her against her father so they can find their mate Kelly. This is a dark read and ends in a cliffhanger and so good.

Ends in a cliffhanger
Format: Kindle
Thankfully, the next book is already available. Roxy Collins is the queen of omegaverse slow burn. This particular series is omegaverse with wolf shifters. Thoroughly enjoyed this book! Lots of suspense and trying to figure out what is true and what's really going on. I loved it! Pretty spicy once the action starts. Heats are pretty much always spicy. There is a little bit of male interaction, but not full-on shmex. Definitely recommend.

Epic!!!!
Format: Kindle
Absolutely addicted from the first page. The twists and turns, world building and character development all come together for the perfect Omegaverse. And let's not forget that spice because knots are life and these are spectacular. Running for book #2 because that cliffhanger was torturous.
