This prolific period of creation would set the tone for a modern and refined side of their music, showcasing a more mature and polished sound. Guitarist Joel Ferber once again handled production, and a collection of their best work from this era began to organically coalesce into the band's sophomore album.

The title, "Either Way The Sun's Exploding," reflects a forced sense of apathy that the members would embody as they delved deeper into more serious musical themes and topics.
