Growth Rate

Odontophorus nanus is a slow-growing succulent. However, once they do grow, the wait is worth it because of their appearance and overall look.

Flowering

With its bloom time in late winter and early spring, you will see the growth of flowers that are light yellowish brown, cream, and sometimes even white.

Watering and Feeding

From spring through autumn, water regularly. Water minimally or not at all during winter. Feed only once during the growing season with a fertilizer that includes all micronutrients and is poor in nitrogen.

Soil

Odontophorus nanus is prone to root rot and hence, good drainage is a must. While it will not die in a poor soil mix, give it sandy-gritty soil for best results.

Hardiness

While the plant is flexible when it comes to temperatures, it prefers a bright situation at all times of the year. This is seen in its frost tolerance of -5°C and hardiness zone of 9a to 11.

Light

Your Odontophorus nanus will not do too well without bright and direct sunlight. Protect it from sun exposure during peak hours in the summer by providing partial shade.

Propagation

You can either seed in spring or use cuttings for propagation. A top is to ensure that while sowing the cutting, it is upright so that the roots can grow downward.

Odontophorus nanus is a rare specie of plant and is not easily available everywhere. What makes it so special is its ability to grow at the same pace both indoors and outdoors.

Living History.
Format: Hardcover
I’m a Republican who met Jim Clyburn in a very non-political environment: a golf course. Politics aside, he’s an absolute legend. He’s a living history book. This book is a look back on history where politicians worked for you, not their party.

Engaging and Relevant to our Times
Format: Kindle
These days more than ever this work is important. Rep. Clyburn's engaging prose is both personal and matter-of-fact, and provides much needed perspective on an often-neglected but most important part of our history.
