OVERVIEW: Finally repressed after several years of being unavailable this collected works 2x10" gives you all of their hard to find and out of press earlier releases! 45 Adapters is a band made up of veterans of the Oi scene who got together at reggae and soul DJ nights and decided to make music in between drinking heavily and dancing until the wee hours of the night. The band has received critical acclaim and attention across the United States and Europe with a string of warmly accepted EPs and a split with Germany's Stomper 98. The band describes their music as a truck full of Otis Redding records crashing into a truck full of Cock Sparrer records. Even that description fails to truly cover the broad sweep of influences which can be heard in their music. Coming from deep roots in classic Oi and street rock, 45 Adapters also brings smart Mod sounds, nods to 60's soul and reggae, glam, pub rock and even hints of classic rock to the table. The end result is a truly unique sound combined with original subject matter in what can be a stagnant genre.
