A large clear sight window allows for filter inspection without removal of the air box. The roto-molded housing is made out of black cross-linked polyethylene. A urethane plug is also included if you wish to completely seal the auxiliary air inlet. High Quality Tube: This system uses a high quality plastic CAD designed, dyno-tuned, roto-molded intake tube to achieve maximum power gains while maintaining a perfect fit. This tube has a built-in resonance chamber to catch un-wanted air intake noises. Large 5-Layer Performance Air Filter: This Momentum GT intake system was designed around the largest filter possible to allow maximum performance and filtration. This cylindrical filter has a large oval (6-3/4" x 4-3/4") flange and is 7" tall inverted top Pro 5R filter media. The Pro 5R performance air filter features 5-layers of progressively finer mesh cotton gauze oiled media and is constructed with 100% polyurethane frame for long life and multiple cleaning cycles. Premium Hardware: Premium stainless steel T-bolt clamps and a bellow silicone coupling are used for strength and durability while also providing the most secure installation available. Good, but minor issues
The build quality seemed impressive and it felt sturdy. When installed, it definitely stayed in the air vent without wiggling or coming loose after quite a bit of off roading and driving over washboards.
I returned this thing and bought the "off roam" competitor because of two reasons:
1) the ball joints don't tighten down hard enough to lock the position of the mount firmly. It grips well when you don't touch it, but if you are trying to put the phone into the mount without both hands, it shifts and moves with minimal pressure. Kind of annoying for me, I feel the ball joints should tighten enough not to budge if given a tiny bit of force or accidental bump.
2) the inner springs of the phone holder started loosening and making an obnoxious vibrating/rattling sound after about a month. Any bump or minor rough surface caused this thing to rattle like loose change in a cup holder IF THE PHONE WASNT IN IT. If the phone was in the holder it didn't do this at all. It started to drive me crazy.
If you can get past these two things it's built well enough and works perfectly fine. I just expect a bit more for $50-$60.
