Julian Cope described the original release as distilling Hawkwind, Sabbath and The Stooges into a

Julian Cope described the original release as distilling Hawkwind, Sabbath and The Stooges into a lysergic soup of brown acid and bathtub meth, and ultimately cultivating a "Altamont vibe"; that is, the negative end of the psychedelic spectrum.
