The origin story of this rim is an offshoot of a bunch of custom duplication work I got in all at once - all einsetzen players from major symphony players looking for a copy or a small tweak to their favorite rim.. Rims in hand for duplication and it struck me; they were incredibly similar. Every one of them was somewhere around 17.5 to 17.75mm, every one had a high outer grip surface, a sharper inner bite and every player told me something to the effect of "I'm so glad you're able to do this I haven't been able to find a suitable replacement in years".
This is the result of a blend of these ideas. It has a narrow high point, rounded curve throughout the surface, a relatively sharp inner bite for clarity, and a high outer grip. They're incredibly easy to grip geometrically and are supplied in an extra slick polish to allow you to move around as you need.
