Commemorating the indispensable instruments of Fender's "Golden Era," the JV – or "Japanese Vintage" – Modified series takes cues from Fender "Japanese Vintage" reissue models made in Japan in the early 1980s. Today's JV Modified series comes together to celebrate the style and sound of Telecasters and Stratocasters from a distinctly unique point in Fender history.
The JV Modified '50s Telecaster features a basswood body in a comfortable single-cutaway shape. The basswood body is constructed in conjunction with a maple neck in a thick, Soft "V"-shaped profile, finished in satin. This body design makes this model vintage-inspired and effortlessly playable. Two vintage-voiced single-coil Telecaster pickups are designed with a four-way pickup selector switch that allows players to play either pickup individually or in parallel or series wiring configurations. Push/pull tone controls offer out-of-phase tones in positions 2 and 4 for a wider range of Tele voices. A three-saddle vintage-style bridge tops off the playing experience with classic Telecaster stability. The dynamic features and vintage styling of the JV Modified '50s Telecaster make it a Tele not to be missed.
