Spinning a new story for a classic hollowbody, this Gibson Custom Shop 1959 ES-330 Reissue with Bigsby is something altogether fresh and formidable. Part of their 2026 limited collection, this mean, clean hollowbody makes a massive impression whether you're talking about its hollow construction, its fiery P-90s, or its expressive Bigsby tailpiece. Large and in-charge, this incredibly unique hollowbody is a model all its own.
This limited release Gibson Custom Shop model starts with an iconic double-cutaway hollowbody brought together from maple and poplar. The body's maple/poplar/maple body construction introduces an airy and resonant tonal profile that matches with a unique specification: the absence of a center block. This omission, reminiscent of original ES-330s, delivers the authenticity and touch response of vintage models. White back and top binding wrap this model while a VOS nitrocellulose lacquer finish presents a retro-inspired but untouched gloss lock.
Extending out, this ES-330 features a one-piece mahogany neck with a long neck tenon. Assuming a vintage-accurate Authentic 1959 profile, this neck fills the hand faithfully for smooth moves from higher to lower registers. Rosewood makes up this limited model's fingerboard with Reissue Medium Jumbo frets across a twelve-inch radius.
For its voice, this guitar's hollowbody matches with two Black Dogear P-90 pickups. Classic single-coil nuance balances with the classic Gibson P-90 muscle that made so many models famous. To back up these tones, this ES-330 features a sturdy hardware setup. A nylon nut and Kluson Deluxe tuning machines land at the headstock for streamlined stringing. At the scale's opposite end, an ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge balances a Bigsby B7 vibrato tailpiece for working expressive pitch bends. This limited Gibson Custom Shop ES-330 travels with an included certificate of authenticity and a Lifton Reissue hard case.
