Beautiful lace fan shapes spread across the surface and are accented with a picot trimmed border. The Shawl is shaped without short rows and knitted from the top down beginning with a garter stitch tab. Charts and full written instructions are included for the lace pattern, as well as suggestions for beginning the lace at a different point. Use any yarn weight up to bulky, adjusting your yardage requirements accordingly.

Worsted Weight
DESIGNER RECOMMENDED YARN: Wool Worsted Twist by Cloudborn Fibers (100% Wool; 100g/222yds): 3 Skeins. Shown in Iron Heather.
ALTERNATE YARN: Woolstok by Blue Sky Fibers (100% Fine Peruvian Highland Wool; 50g/123yds): 5 Skeins. Beautiful heathered yarn. Also available in 150g skeins in natural colors. Yarn Loop will substitute the larger skeins as available so that you have less ends to weave in.
ALTERNATE YARN: O-Wash Worsted by O-Wool (100% Washable Organic Merino Wool; 100g/206 yds): 3 Skeins. Environmentally friendly processing on wonderfully soft merino wool for the ecologically minded consumer. Milled, Spun & Dyed in the Northeastern USA on South American Merino. Available in Solid/Tonal colors. This yarn has been discontinued and will only be available for a limited time.
ALTERNATE YARN: Rios by Malabrigo (100% Superwash Merino Wool; 100g/210 yds): 3 Skeins. Kettle-Dyed Superwash Merino Wool for subtle to striking variegated colors. Made in Uruguay.
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: 80” wingspan x 20” along centerline, after blocking
YARDAGE: Approximately 600 yds worsted weight; up to 900 yds for other weights
SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate to Advanced - picot trim, lace stitchwork
NEEDLES: Size US 8 / 5mm circular needles, or size needed to obtain gauge
OTHER TOOLS: Stitch Markers, Tapestry Needle, Row Counter (recommended)
GAUGE: 16 sts = 4" in stockinette stitch, after blocking
