Mesquite Bowl Blank M-1075 3" x 5" x 6" 2.3 lbs. This is an attractive Mesquite bowl blank with a partial natural edge. It as a natural face along one edge and two faces, with sapwood and bark. This is suitable for a traditional bowl, a partially natural-edge bowl, or you could flip it on its side and go for smaller turnings that would allow you to highlight the natural edge. Lots of options with this one! The colors include the rich reddish-brown of Mesquite heartwood, the beige tones of Mesquite sapwood, and the dark brown of Mesquite bark. There are multiple grain-crossing rays with moderate chatoyance. There is wane associated with the tree trunk interface, so the finished bowl will be up to 3" tall in most of the bowl but somewhat less where the sapwood and bark are present. This mesquite piece has been air-dried to 10-12% moisture content. There is one knot with open space adjacent to it and a vug on the opposite side. If I were turning, I would stabilize it with CA glue or fill with epoxy, as it is unclear how deep into the block it penetrates. There is a vug on the opposite side that likely continues through to the knot -- it may be a through-going encased branch, which would be fun to turn! I'm sure it will give some very pretty grain to the finished bowl. You may also wish to stabilize the sapwood (thin or medium CA glue) as it's a bit soft. |

Not sturdy, tips over easily due to a small base and ultra light weight. Instructions were not much help but it’s pretty easy to figure out without them. Material is as expected.

Quick to arrive, quick to disappoint

Where do I start. Well. The only thing going for this divider was the fast shipping and affordability. But please be careful with the latter. This is exactly the type of product that teaches you that you get what you pay for. The assembly was ridiculous and lacking a lot of information and the tolerances to several of the pole pieces were incorrect. It is also very flimsy when assembled and I do not recommend buying this unless you absolutely need an urgent room divider. Best to save your money and get something sturdier.

Staying in a flex bedroom for few nights and got it to get some more coverage, super fast and easy to assemble, no tools or muscles needed, just pay attention to the ends of the bars : 2 vertical bottoms were marked, 4 horizontal ends are different to be easily attached to vertical frame; very lightweight but sturdy, nice shade of gray, the room still feels bright snd spacious; matches the description
