La Roche Buissiere, located northeast of Vaison-La-Romaine in the southern Côtes du Rhône, has been organic since the 1970s, when Pierre Joly used to sell his grapes to the local co-op. His son Antoine took over in 1998 and, with his wife Laurence, began making their own wine. They hand-harvest their 18 hectares of vines, don’t use synthetic yeasts, and don’t fine or filter. Very intense vineyard work allows for early harvest, resulting in less-concentrated and lower-alcohol wines.

This is smashing blend of Grenache and Syrah, with a short maceration to retain freshness and a 15 day fermentation with indigenous yeasts. Aged in concrete tanks, no filtration or fining. It's a natural for food, with soft tannins, medium body and a long finish.
