DESCRIPTION
The fear of pain can often limit a patient’s progress, function and recovery. This webinar aims to examine a mechanism-based approach to evaluation while highlighting movement-evoked pain as a means of integrating the assessment of motor dysfunction with pain. A review of neurobiological pain mechanisms will be incorporated along with the impact of psychological factors (e.g. kinesiophobia) and the movement system. Patient cases will be used to illustrate application of a mechanism-based approach to guide evaluation and treatment.

Ruth L. Chimenti, DPT, PhD
