1. How far should I stand from the impact screen while hitting?  
   To ensure both your safety and the protection of the screen, it’s recommended to stand approximately 10 to 12 feet away from the impact screen.
   
2. Is it safe to iron or steam my golf impact screen?  
   We advise against ironing the screen, as heat can damage the material. To reduce wrinkles, unpack your screen promptly upon arrival and store it loosely folded if necessary. Once securely mounted with zip ties, most wrinkles will naturally flatten out. If additional smoothing is needed, you can gently use a household steamer filled with distilled water to relax the fabric.
   
3. Are there any safety precautions to follow when using a golf simulator?  
   Yes, definitely! Always adhere to the provided assembly guidelines, keep children, pets, and bystanders clear from the swing zone, and protect surrounding surfaces like walls, ceilings, and windows from stray shots.
   
4. Do I need a golf hitting mat?  
   Absolutely! A quality hitting mat is essential for protecting your joints and providing a more realistic playing experience. When choosing a mat, consider your stance width and whether the setup will accommodate both right- and left-handed golfers.
   
5. What are the differences between the various Carl’s Enclosure Kits?  
   The Pro Enclosure Kit features premium materials, larger sizing options, and enhanced durability, making it ideal for professional or commercial use. The DIY Enclosure Kit offers a budget-friendly, easy-to-assemble option for home setups.
   
   The Curved Enclosure Kit provides a wraparound screen for a more immersive, panoramic experience.
   
6. What happens if a golf ball hits the black enclosure surround?  
   The black surround is not designed for direct hits, but occasional rebounds from the screen should not cause any issues. The BlackStop™ fabric used in the Pro Enclosure is Carl’s most durable material, capable of safely handling light contact.
   
7. Can I order a replacement impact screen?  
   Yes, replacement screens are available! Please reach out to [email protected] for assistance.
   
8. How much extra space is needed for installation? 
   For easier setup, allow 6–7 inches of clearance above the enclosure. On the sides, keep 2–3 inches of space (subtracting about 4–6 inches from your room width). Additionally, ensure at least 9.5 inches of space behind the enclosure for proper fitting.
   
9. What type of pipes are necessary for the enclosure frame?  
   The Pro Enclosure is designed to be constructed using 2-inch EMT (Electrical Metal Tubing), which has a true outer diameter of 2.197 inches (55.8 mm). You can either purchase our Pipe Framing Kit for pre-cut, labeled pipes or acquire standard EMT from a local hardware store.
   
10. How long does it take to assemble the enclosure?  
    Assembly generally takes about 2 hours with the assistance of 2–3 people, depending on the enclosure's size. We recommend reviewing the assembly video and instruction manual beforehand for a smoother setup experience.
    
11. What exactly are EMT pipes?  
    EMT (Electrical Metal Tubing), also known as Electrical Metal Conduit, are sturdy metal pipes used to create the structure of your enclosure. It’s crucial to use EMT instead of PVC, as PVC pipes are incompatible with the fittings of the Pro Enclosure.
    
12. How should I mount my projector?  
    Projector placement will depend on your screen size and the projector’s throw ratio. Our team is available to help you find the best mounting position for your specific setup. Common options include flush ceiling mounts, drop mounts, or floor mounts, tailored to your space and preferences. Shipping

Shipping for Carl's Place products varies based on whether pipes are included in your order. Without pipes, items are shipped in 4–5 boxes, totaling up to 200 lbs. When pipes are included, the shipment consists of 8–13 boxes, with a total weight of up to 585 lbs.

All products typically require 1–2 business days for processing before they are shipped. Most items, such as enclosures, impact screens, hitting mats, hitting strips, swing cameras, and accessories, are delivered within 7–10 business days after processing. For custom orders, delivery times are as follows: custom enclosures and impact screens, as well as Built-In Screens, typically take 7–14 business days, while Built-In Panel Kits may take 14–21 business days.

Once your order has shipped, you will receive tracking information via email. If you do not receive a shipping notification, your order is likely still being processed. Most Carl's Place products qualify for free standard shipping; however, due to their size and weight, Built-In Panel Kits require freight shipping, with charges calculated at checkout.

Refund & Returns

Most products may be returned within 30 days of delivery, provided they are in like-new condition, undamaged, and include all original packaging, accessories, and components. Items that show signs of use, damage, or missing packaging may not be eligible for return.

All approved returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee, and customers are responsible for all return shipping costs. Once the returned items are received and inspected, any eligible refund will be issued to the original payment method.

Custom & Non-Returnable Products
Custom items—including Custom Enclosures, Impact Screens, Built-In Golf Room Kits, Built-In Screens, Padded Walls, Ceiling Panels, and Curtains—are non-returnable and non-refundable once they have shipped. In some cases, made-to-order or custom products that have entered production but have not yet shipped may still be canceled, though a 25% restocking fee may apply.

Return Process
To initiate a return, please contact our support team at [email protected]. Be sure to include your order number along with clear photos of all items you wish to return. All return requests must be approved by the manufacturer before proceeding. Once approved, you will receive return shipping instructions and the appropriate return address. Refunds are processed after the returned items are received and pass inspection.

Order Cancellations
Orders must be canceled within 24 hours of purchase to avoid a 3% merchant processing fee. To request a cancellation, please email [email protected] as soon as possible. If an order has already shipped, the customer will be responsible for return shipping costs in addition to the 3% processing fee.

Warranty

• Defects: Carl's Place guarantees its kits to be free from defects in both material and workmanship at the date of purchase.
• Coverage Limitations: The warranty does not cover parts damaged by use, modification, or normal wear and tear. Liability is limited to the original cost of the purchased kit.
