The whaler-the Palm Coast, Florida quartet's ambitious and exhilarating sophomore full-length-is a concept record about getting used to things getting worse. Across 10 interconnected but self-contained songs, the album captures the desensitization and disorientation of tragedy becoming mundane.

The whaler, produced by Jack Shirley (Joyce Manor, Deafheaven), marks an unmistakable new chapter for frontwoman Bea MacDonald's songwriting, subverting the expectations left by her band's 2021 debut LP I Became Birds for something equally resonant, but darker and more expansive. The whaler was released in June 2023 to acclaim Pitchfork, Paste, Stereogum, and more.

Nice full sized doggy flying toy
This LaRoo Dog Flying Disc surprised my in the size and sturdiness. The disc measures 10 inches across, so it is appropriate for most dogs as it only weighs about 6 ounces. The material of the disc is made from sort of ultra high density foam, so there is a bit of give so depending on your dog they will probably leave some teeth marks as they grab it from the ground, but unlike the hard plastic discs, this disc isn't making many of those sharp edges. My pup loves chasing this disc, but it is a bit unpredictable where it will fly in the wind because is so light, but I think this just enhances the game.
