perfect knife for hunting, skinning or just everyday carry, the scales on the handle are unique to sit in the hand perfectly.

Titan International Knives High Carbon 1080 steel Hunting/utility knife is hand crafted to be functional and not just for looks. This knife holds a great edge and for the handle the Rose wood grip are locked in place with the multiple Brass pins. The handle has a very smooth grip to it which feels natural when held in the hand.

Overall Edge 1080 Carbon Steel has a great retention and Ti blade has been heat treated well, with hardness around 58 RHC.

Recommended Knife Maintenance:
Sharpening: Can be performed with any system, recommend the use of oil on 18-22 deg fixtures
Surface treatment: Recommend that the knife is not kept in the sheath and in dry environment. In case rust develops, remove with steel wool or 3M 1000 grit pads with oil and use metal polish to prevent from reoccurring.

Opener leaves wire threads on the rim of the can when opening. Poses a danger if ingested.

Purchased this item hoping it would make opening cans easier (I have osteoarthritis in my hands). First time I tried it, after it rounded the lid of a can of DelMonte green beans, nothing. I reseated it, and held it down when it started. It opened the can after circling the top two times. When I took the lid off the can, there were tiny wire "threads" stuck on the can, and more stuck on the Kitchen Mama opener. I was able to very carefully wipe the wire threads off and pour the can of beans into my pan. HOWEVER, I will not use this product again. Who wants to run the risk of ingesting wire threads?!!! I would return the product for a refund, but my husband destroyed the box opening it, so this will go into the garbage. I wouldn't sell at a garage sale or donate it, because someone else might ingest the wire threads, and then Kitchen Mama would have a lawsuit on their hands I wouldn't have given ANY stars, but you have to give at least one to write a review.

But honestly maybe what bothers me the most of all is when I contacted customer support about the warranty replacement, I got an email back asking for photographic proof that my BATTERIES WERE IN CORRECTLY. Really? (A photo that I could not provide because it had broken days earlier and I threw it in the trash, who hoards broken appliances?). I really expected better from a ‘reputable’ brand.
