Cherry Bowl Blank BC346 2.7" x 5.2" x 6.7"This attractive Cherry bowl blank has straight grain and a warm pinkish brown hue. It has complete bark on the backside. This is a classic half log blank, split through the center of the log. The heartwood is fine grained and has no visible porosity. The sapwood has visible porosity and may require a gentle touch turning and finishing. There is one small crack in the end grain, as shown in the close up photo. You may wish to stabilize this with CA
| This attractive Cherry bowl blank has straight grain and a warm pinkish-brown hue. It has complete bark on the backside. This is a classic half-log blank, split through the center of the log. The heartwood is fine-grained and has no visible porosity. The sapwood has visible porosity and may require a gentle touch turning and finishing. There is one small crack in the end grain, as shown in the close-up photo. You may wish to stabilize this with CA glue prior to turning. With the bark on the backside, you have the option of turning a conventional bowl or a "barky" natural-edge bowl. The bark on this piece is a bit loose around the edges. If you want to preserve a full bark edge on the natural rim, you will need to secure the bark with CA glue before and possibly during turning. This blank has been air-dried to achieve a moisture content of less than 10%. It is ready for finish-turning. I would buy this twice!

I got the twelve inch handle. It is too short and does not flex enough to release ball in right direction. Its almost impossible to aim and doesn't sent the ball far enough.

Great toy my dog loves!

My dachshund, Winston, loves these balls because they squeak and of coarse it’s a ball. Only thing is he is destructive and the squeaker doesn’t last long but by far his favorite toy.
