Arriving in distinguished fashion, the PRS SE Swamp Ash CE 24 Sandblasted Limited Edition makes for a captivating entry to the PRS family of instruments. Unlocking a new avenue for SE CE 24 playability and tonality, this limited edition model offers something totally new.
Starting with its basis, this limited edition model features alternative element to the SE CE 24 equation. A swamp ash top replaces the traditional choice of maple for a different look and feel. This swamp ash is matched with a mahogany back to form the classic PRS double-cutaway body shape with a Shallow Violin top carve for added contours. Easily slipped under the arm and effortlessly carried, this CE 24 model’s body plays comfortably and resonates uniquely between the combination of the two woods. This limited edition body features a sandblasted finish that imparts an interesting and vibrant pop to the ash’s unique woodgrain.
A scarfed, bolt-on maple neck joins the swamp ash body in a PRS Wide Thin profile shape. This neck meets with a rosewood fingerboard bearing twenty-four frets, very easily played and comfortable across the fingers and inspiring speedy trips across the twenty-five-inch scale length. Along with this, PRS Birds fret inlays adorn the rosewood for that extra element of PRS authenticity and style. When plugged in, this SE CE 24 comes to life with two PRS 85/15 “S” humbucking pickups. These two humbuckers sing with grit and articulation and are only enhanced with the addition of a push/pull tone control that adds coil-tap capabilities to expand the sonic palette.
Fine hardware appointments present on this limited edition PRS include a PRS patented tremolo bridge that ensures tonal fidelity and tuning stability when playing with deep vibrato bends. In addition, PRS-designed tuners line the iconic headstock and retain a light weight to ground strings for quick changes and sturdy intonation.
