Monet was surrendered after spending years without regular veterinary care. Shortly after arriving, she became critically ill, struggling to breathe and refusing food.
Doctors determined that Monet has a partially collapsed lung caused by a previous injury or illness. Scar tissue from the damage is pressing against her heart, forcing it to work harder than it should. Monet remains hospitalized as she undergoes diagnostic testing and receives medication to stabilize her condition and manage the strain on her heart.
Monet is responding to treatment and with continued medical support, she is expected to keep improving. Your support can help ensure Monet continue to receive the care she needs in this critical stage of recovery.
