This hat is ready for any modification necessary to suit your needs. Shorten the brim and reduce the length of the body cables for a snug fitting beanie, or add an extra cable section and a pom pom for an adorable winter hat (extra yardage may be required).
The body of the hat is worked in a simple cable and ribbing pattern and integrated decreases shape the crown. Change to double pointed needles when the hat circumference is too small to work on the circular.

NEEDLES: US 6 / 4 cm 16” circular, US 7 / 4.5 mm 16” circular, US 8 / 5 mm 16" circular & set Double Points, or size needed to obtain gauge
OTHER TOOLS: Size G–6 / 4 mm crochet hook, waste yarn, cable needle, stitch markers, tapestry needle.
GAUGE: 18 sts x 27 rows = 4” in Body Chart on largest needle, after blocking.
