This modern iteration builds on that legacy, combining timeless design with contemporary refinements to deliver a punchy, articulate low end with exceptional playability.
The alder body provides a resonant and well-balanced tonal foundation, producing deep lows, clear mids, and crisp highs. The maple neck, finished in satin urethane, is shaped into a comfortable Modern “C” profile for effortless playability. A slab rosewood fingerboard with a 9.5-inch radius and 20 medium jumbo frets offers a smooth playing surface, while rolled edges add to the overall comfort. Open-gear tuning machines ensure reliable tuning stability, and the synthetic bone nut enhances sustain and resonance.
At the heart of this model is a Player Series Alnico 5 split single-coil Precision Bass pickup, delivering the punch, warmth, and clarity that define the P Bass sound. The simple yet effective control layout features a master volume and tone knob, allowing players to shape their sound with precision. The four-saddle standard bridge with single-groove steel saddles maintains intonation and stability while preserving the instrument’s signature attack.
