History and Origin
The F-35A is an American single-seat, single-engine, multi-role fifth-generation fighter aircraft developed as part of the international Joint Strike Fighter program. Built by a consortium of Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, and BAE Systems, it has become a symbol of technological and combat superiority on the modern battlefield.
F-35A "HUSARZ" – Polish Version
In 2024, the Ministry of National Defense officially named the Polish F-35 "Husarz," emphasizing its role as a modern knight of the skies. Deliveries of 32 aircraft will continue until 2030 – the first units were delivered to Ebbing Air Force Base in the USA, and will later be stationed in Łask and Świdwin. The F-35 Husarz is intended to replace the aging MiG-29 and Su-22, responding to the threat posed by the Russian Su-35 and Su-57.
Technical Facts
The F-35 "HUSARZ" is a stealth fighter designed to be difficult to detect by radar and infrared systems. Its aerodynamic silhouette and special materials make it virtually invisible on the modern battlefield. It is powered by one of the world's most powerful jet engines – the Pratt & Whitney F135-PW-100 – delivering an impressive 43,000 pounds of thrust with afterburner. This allows the F-35A to reach supersonic speeds without sacrificing its stealth capabilities.
It is a multi-role aircraft: it conducts air combat, bombing, reconnaissance, and electronic jamming – all in one mission.
Weapons that Spread Fear
The F-35 "HUSARZ" can carry internal weapons for stealth or external weapons for increased firepower. The COBI model is equipped with the AGM-88G AARGM-ER, an extended-range anti-radar missile designed to destroy surface targets and ground-based, stationary, and mobile radar stations.
