Candidates for admission must apply to the academy and receive a nomination, usually from a member of Congress. To say that the Cadets and Midshipmen at these institutions are goal-oriented and committed would be an understatement.
There is that certain, hard to define thing about men and woman in full dress uniform. Is it simple elegance? Refinement? Panache? We couldn't decide but we knew that a coat made from either charcoal grey or navy blue wool with brass ball buttons a center stripe of black or red wool and a stand-up collar would certainly make a statement.
We also knew that we had to make both color combinations. There is, always has been and, we suppose, always will be a healthy rivalry between the Army and the Navy. The choice is yours to make. Your dog will appreciate the warmth of either.
