The 2 Prong drive centres are suited to timber with out of square ends, whereas the 4 prong versions are more suited for squared spindle ends so each prong has equal penetration in the timber for maximum grip. The Centres are easily removed from the lathe with the Rotur knockout bar (TKO265).
