This French orjol is fully glazed unlike other cruches or gargoulettes and was a specialty of the region, now contained in the modern-day region of Occitanie. The beautiful patina of this antique water pitcher has slowly developed with the passage of time. The imperfections are a testament to its utilitarian history and daily use at one time.
