The 217e-SB Plus boasts a torrefied Sitka spruce top, and layered Indian rosewood back and sides, all of which are finished in a beautiful gloss. With a burst coloring, the finish of this guitar stands as little in the way as possible of the natural beauty of both Sitka spruce and Indian rosewood, allowing the wood grain on the guitar's body to be put on full display. The mahogany neck features a Crelicam Ebony fingerboard with 20 frets and a nut measuring at 1.6875".
Taylor's ES2 electronics allow for high-fidelity, natural amplification of this guitar, capturing its rich acoustic tone with clarity and definition. This advanced pickup system designed by Taylor, offers a simple control scheme of a master volume, a bass knob and a treble knob.
