Discover the compelling narrative of 'Freeing Ali,' a poignant exploration of the human experience in detention. Released in 2005 by NewSouth Publishing, this insightful book features the groundbreaking journalism of Michael Gordon, who became the first reporter granted unrestricted access to the Nauru refugee detention centre. Through the lens of Ali Mullaie, an Afghan asylum seeker held captive for over three years, readers are drawn into a deeply affecting account of resilience and hope amidst adversity. Gordon interviewed more than half of the 54 asylum seekers held on the island, capturing not just their stories but also the stark realities of the 'Pacific Solution' and its profound impact on Nauru's people. This title offers a critical understanding of the refugee crisis, making it an essential read for anyone interested in human rights, migration issues, or journalism. 'Freeing Ali' goes beyond the headlines to provide an intimate look at the consequences of policies on individuals, emphasizing the need for compassion and understanding in the face of suffering. Ideal for students, researchers, and advocates alike, 'Freeing Ali' is not just a book; it's a vital conversation starter about the complexities of asylum seeking and the global refugee crisis.Shipping Notes

$34.48 for 1 ounce packs of 6. Not worth it! Exorbitant prices!
Flavor Name: Herb Medley, Size: 1.1 Ounce (Count of 6)
$34.48 for 6 packs 1ounce each! That’s exorbitant for what it is. Not worth it!

Way too “lekker” tasty
Being from South Africa I’m skeptical on US made dried meat products - BUT these are the real thing.
Difficult not to eat the entire pack in one session. Major discipline required to put it down.
Great products.

Very satisfied!
Heard about Biltong from one of the youtubers I watch, and wanted to try it. This is delicious, much more so than your regular beef jerky. I have tried other brands, but this one is by far my favorite for the flavor and texture.

Quality biltong
Biltong is the beef jerky i grew up eating… so nothing else really compares. These people do a bang up job. Expensive but worth it as a treat or a gift for someone who likes quality jerky without all the extra preservatives.

Arrived opened/tampered
My pack arrived late AND was already opened. Considering this is food, I'm not sure if this is even safe to eat.
A real shame since I was really looking forward to having some good biltong.
