  • Capacitance Tolerance: ¬± 5%
  • Voltage Rating: 370 VAC or 440 VAC
  • Frequency: 50 / 60 Hz
  • Shape: Round

Replaces / Cross-Reference Part Numbers

  • TP-CAP-80/5/440R
  • 27L651
  • Replaces any round 80/5 MFD dual run capacitor with a voltage rating of 370V or 440V.

Compatibility & Fitment

  • Designed for HVAC systems including air conditioners and heat pumps.
  • Simultaneously powers a compressor motor (80 MFD) and a fan motor (5 MFD).
  • A 440V rated capacitor can directly replace a 370V rated capacitor.
  • Physical Dimensions: Verify diameter and height match the original component for proper mounting. This capacitor has a standard diameter of 2.5 inches (60mm).

When to Replace

  • The compressor or fan motor hums but fails to start.
  • The fan motor runs slow or does not spin.
  • The air conditioner unit trips the circuit breaker on startup.
  • Visual inspection shows a bulging, swollen, or leaking capacitor.
  • Capacitance measurement is outside the rated tolerance (e.g., less than 76 MFD or more than 84 MFD for the 80 MFD side).

Installation Tips

  • Disconnect all electrical power to the HVAC unit before servicing.
  • Safely discharge the existing capacitor by shorting the terminals with a resistor or an insulated screwdriver.
  • Document or photograph the wire connections to the C, FAN, and HERM terminals before removal.
  • Install the new capacitor, ensuring wires are connected to the correct terminals.
  • Secure the capacitor in the mounting bracket.

very nice tool
likes, all aluminum construction, seems very accurate and uses more sturdy 1/4 inch shelf pins instead of the 5mm ones comes with 2 bits which is a huge plus the competition makes you buy the 1/4 drill and only is set up for 5mm to start. this jig will work along side, for now, my other jig dislike is the fact it only has 1/4 pin capability not a deal killer in any way, and it has "pins" to support the jig on the edge again this is both an advantage and disadvantage as you can change the depth of where the pins are located BUT if you are making something smaller the jig may not calibrate consistently. on another positive you can replace the bits easily and commonly as they are not proprietary and simply standard 1/4 inch bits this will be a fine addition to my other goingmake tools and future ones

Sturdy and well made
I have yet to use this jig, but on initial inspection it is well made and no doubt will withstand a lot of use. The machining of the threads was rough on the one I received, but after screwing in the guides a couple times the operation became smoother. Probably lack of cleanup after anodizing left in the threads. Other than that it looks like it will be useful and longer lasting than many of the plastic jigs out there.

Easy to use
I built a bookshelf for my grandson and wanted adjustable shelves. This jig did the trick. Very easy to use, and a lot of adjustability. I have other tools by goingmake and they all are well made and affordable.

Works very well and holds up over time!
This works really well for drilling out shelf pins! The drill bit that comes with it is a good quality bit, and the holes in the metal block are very strong, The drill bit doesn't even come close to cutting into them. I have drilled about 1000 holes with it so far, and it still works as good as it did when it was brand new! I would definitely recommend this over the plastic ones. It's very easy to use, as well.

Great item
Size: 9 Holes
Works great Would be nice to have another peg to make sure it stays in line. Just used a drill bit of the same size. Worth the investment
