The grain runs long and more-or-less straight, parallel to the long axis of each spindle. This wood has been fully air-dried to 10-12% moisture content. Please scroll down below the first several photos to see all images. This block has some minor end-grain cracks that you may wish to secure with CA glue prior to turning. One face has some Anchor Seal giving it a darker finish -- that will turn or sand right off. |
